Below are a few quick links you may need as we work on your site. You will also find links with instructions and links to upload content throughout your website checklist. All items in bold are those that you are responsible for.

The client is responsible for organizing and uploading images to the new website. ​If stock photos are to be used, it is the client's responsibility to choose stock photos and organize them just as they would their own photos. While Bridal Business Solutions is not solely responsible for choosing stock photos, we may supplement the selection of stock photos the client provides with our own. NOTE: We will ONLY use stock photos if the client indicates on their intake form that they are open to this option. ​

Organization of photos to include:

Gallery Page - The photos that the client would like featured on a general gallery page that shows a selection of their work. If more than one gallery page is to be included (ie: weddings, events, corporate, etc) all of the gallery images must be organized separately. Bridal Business Solutions is not responsible for selecting or curating images for gallery pages unless otherwise agreed upon and added to this contract. If Bridal Business Solutions is contracted to curate photos, an additional fee will apply. 

 

Featured Portfolios - The photos that are to be featured in individual featured portfolios. Each separate wedding, event, or category must be organized separately into a folder that clearly states what featured portfolio the images should be featured in (ie: Jones Wedding, Hall Wedding, etc) (ie: multicultural, destination, etc). Each folder of images must only contain those photos that are to be featured within the portfolio page of the live site. Bridal Business Solutions is not responsible for selecting or curating images for individual portfolios unless otherwise agreed upon and added to this contract. If Bridal Business Solutions is contracted to curate photos, an additional fee will apply. Up to 12 featured portfolios will be added by Bridal Business Solutions as part of your website package. For any additional portfolios above the 12 included, the client may choose to add themselves or hire Bridal Business Solutions to do this for them at an additional fee of $150 an hour. A final training session is included in the cost of your website and will cover instructions on how to add additional portfolios. 

 

About - The photos that will be added to your About page or throughout your website that highlight yourself, your staff, and/or your business location. 

 

​Badges - Logos and badges from blogs, media, publications or education to be showcased on your site and/or on your About page.  

 

​Testimonials - The images that will be included on your testimonial page. These images must be organized in a separate folder with each image clearly indicating which testimonial it coincides with.​​ Up to 12 testimonials will be added by Bridal Business Solutions as part of your website package. For any additional testimonials above the 12 included, the client may choose to add themselves or hire Bridal Business Solutions to do this for them at an additional fee of $150 an hour. A final training session is included in the cost of your website and will cover instructions on how to add additional testimonials

 

Favorites - The photos that the client would like to have featured on the website's main pages. We may also choose from other photos as well but we will start with the creative process with these particular photos.

32) DOUBLE CHECK PAGES & LINKS

I have checked and re-checked your site several times but it is possible that I may have missed something. It's a good idea to go through your site on your desktop and mobile version to make sure that everything looks perfect and all of the links are working properly. ​

​BTW...feel free to be as nit-picky as you want. This is your site and I want you to love it!

33) CONNECT INSTAGRAM

If you have an Instagram feed on your new site, you will have to connect it to your feed, I cannot do this for you. Follow the steps below. 
 
  • ​Go to the Dashboard of your new site. 
  • Click on "Edit Site" at the top left. 
  • Go to your Home Page (or whichever page the IG feed is on).
  • Click on the feed.
  • Click on settings.
  • Under "Main" click on "Connect Business Account" 
  • Put in your credentials and your feed should connect instantly. 

34) UPGRADE WIX PLAN

Before connecting your custom domain, you will need to upgrade your Wix plan. CLICK HERE for more information on choosing a plan.. 

35) CONNECT DOMAIN (URL)

CONNECT YOUR URL WITH WIX DOMAIN

Once your site is done, you will need to either connect an existing URL or purchase a new one. If you want to purchase a new one, this can be done quickly and easily through Wix by following these steps:

  • In the Dashboard of the new site, search for and click on "Domains" in the search bar. 

  • Search for and purchase your domain here. 

  • If you have an existing website URL but are starting over with a new website URL, you will also want to forward your old site to the new site. (See Instructions Below)​

If you have an existing website and custom domain through Wix, this is also a quick and easy process:

  • In the Dashboard of the new site, search for and click on "Premium Subscriptions" in the search bar. 

  • Find your EXISTING site that has the domain that you want to switch to the new site. 

  • Find where it says "Premium Plan" and click on the three dots to the right. 

  • Click on "Assign to a Different Site" and assign it to the new site. 

  • When you assign your "Premium Plan" your existing domain will automatically be switched to your new site.  

CONNECT YOUR URL FROM AN EXISTING PLATFORM

If your current URL is not hosted by Wix, there are a few steps that you need to follow. This is a fairly simple process but, because I do not have certain access to your site or your existing hosting platform, this is not something I can help you with although I will still be here to guide you. Wix has excellent customer service and can also help guide you through this process.

36) LAUNCH NEW SITE

Please let us know when your website is live so that we can make sure it is being indexed by Google. 

37) FORWARD OLD DOMAIN

If you are choosing a domain that is different from the one you are currently using, you will want to forward your old web address to the new web address. This is a simple process done through the provider who hosts your domain. If you are using your existing domain name for the new site, you can skip this step. 

38) ADD YOUR BUSINESS INFORMATION

  • Go to your Wix dashboard.
  • On the left hand side, click on "Settings" 
  • Click on "Business Info" and add your information. 

39) SET UP YOUR INBOX

If you want to be able to communicate with your clients through your Wix account and have all correspondence come from your gmail account, you will want to set that up in your Wix dashboard. 

  • On the left hand side of your Dashboard, click on "Communications" 

  • At the top right, click on the dropdown labeled "Settings" 

  • Follow the prompts to set up your Wix inbox and integrate with your gmail. 

40) CONNECT YOUR GOOGLE BUSINESS ACCOUNT

  • On your Dashboard, click on "SEO" under "Marketing & SEO" again. 

  • Click on "Continue Setup" 

  • Under "Step 1" dropdown and click on "Connect & Submit Your Site to Google Search Console"

41) ADD YOUR SOCIAL LINK PAGE TO YOUR IG

Your website includes a "Social Link" page similar to Linktree to add to your Instagram profile. Type in your URL with the slug /links (ie: www.YourNewWebsite.com/links) to pull up your social links page. 

Copy and paste this link into your IG profile. 

42) ADD ADDITIONAL BLOG POSTS, PORTFOLIOS AND TESTIMONIALS

At your final training call, we will go over how to add additional blog posts, portfolios and testimonials to your new site. 

43) CREATE YOUR INTERESTED BRIDE SALES FUNNEL

Now that you have your new, beautiful and effecient website done, you may want to consider having us set up an automated sales funnel for you within your Wix website. 

Your automated sales funnel will allow you to create a "set it and forget it" system for booking more brides without you ever having to do a thing!

Imagine increasing your bookings AND saving you a ton of time! Seems to good to be true but it's not!
